Rescue unattended not showing full screen mouse position incorrect

Hi

 

I have a client with Logmein Remote rescue installed as unattended access mode

(I think I may have mistakenly ended up installing this twice)

 

the issue is when I connect to the client machine I do not see the full screen

but instead a square section of it and the mouse position does not match up with the real position on the client machine,

for example if client machine user moves and clicks mouse - it looks to be in completly the wrong position

 

how to I cleanly uninstall all traces of logmein remote rescue

so that I may start again on this machine from scratch to see if the issue is still there?

Are you logging into a computer that has Windows 8? If so it is not a problem with the install it is a problem with the display settings. Have your client perform the following steps:
1. Right click on the desktop
2. Click on personalize
3. in the bottom left of the Personalization screen the will then click on Display
4. Change the size of all items > move the slider all the way to the left to the smaller setting.
5. Click apply
After they perform these steps have them log out and then log back in and you will be able to see the whole screen.

I was told that this was an issue and that LogMeIn is working on how to solve it, but we have had this ongoing for a couple of months now. Let me know how it goes.
