Can't see the android

I have a HP Slate 7 Beats running android 4.4.2 and when I connect to it from my computer I can't see the screen. All I get is a message stating "device does not support remote view or control" am I missing a setting on the android device?

This is a load of sh.., I just wish something would work. Airdroid doesnt let me remotely control the android phone or tablet or any android device. Is it because we have to pay for it. Why....?

Love the answer you received. I see this multiple times connecting to devices. As of yet I still have not seen a fix.
