Failed connection

While the test session works, the training from my vendor fails after, "The Meeting is Starting". Message box states, "The connecation failed. Please check your internet connection and try again" I tried many times.

I added the domains recommended by Michael, but now I have nowhere to test.

Thanks Douglas, I think at this point it would be best if you called in and worked directly with one of our Reps: http://support.citrixonline.com/en_US/training/phone Even if they are unable to get you into session they may be able to pinpoint the issue and give you something to work with, with your IT.

I was able to get to the 'Waiting for the organizer' screen after the organizer left the training today.

Hi Douglas, for GoToTraining I would recommend whitelisting the following domains: *.gototraining.com, *.expertcity.com, *.citrixonlinecdn.com, and *.citrixonline.com.

The rest may not be necessary, but it's difficult to anticipate which specific servers your traffic would be sent to.

I am not going to whitelist all those domains. I will add one or two. Do you have a way to know which domain my connection is attempting to hit?

Hi Douglas,
We utilize a wide range of IPs, set in static blocks so that users may white-list the entire range of IP address' for any given GoToMeeting or Training.

Why would the GoTo test work and the training fail? ( I also ran the GoTo Wizard, with no beneficial effects.)

Hi Douglas,
Sorry for any confusion there. Sometimes the message 'connection failed' really means there is a local block from your security software, or network firewall. Have you checked these things out to see if you have any security in play?
