Here is a fun one. Over the past month or so I've connected to a Windows 2000 Server SP4 that is just a workgroup server and a Windows 2003 Server SP1 that was a Domain Controller and now a Windows 2000 SP4 workstation machine.
On a initiated reboot from the start menu with Cached Credentials, the Server(s) and workstation kick out a BSOD with the following error message:
"STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000034 (0x00000000 0x0000000)
The system has been shutdown. "
I came across a MS KB Article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;156669. Which points me to Blame LMIR to for my 1 hr and 1 1/2 repair to the OS.
Does any one know if LMIR modifies the msgina.dll or the registry?
Has any one else had this issue?
Is this a MS security update that is causing Windows to Puke with LMIR?
