Hi Julie,
Normally GoToMeeting is trying to block system sounds that might disrupt the presentation. Depending on what kind of hardware you're working with, this document may give you some insights: https://support.goto.com/meeting/help/how-do-i-optimize-my-computer-for-video-sharing-g2m090150

Wow, I would have thought it was a simple setting that I was missing, but looks like GoToMeeting could use some updates. Thank you so much for the info @AshC !

Until GoToMeeting has a way to share video streaming while in session, you will have to use a workaround to broadcast the sound of desktop videos played in session: https://support.goto.com/meeting/help/how-do-i-optimize-my-computer-for-video-sharing-g2m090150

We typically use Google Slides to give a presnetation. Videos embedded in the slides play the sound for the presentor, but the attendees cannot hear it. What are we doing wrong?

While there is still a video sharing 'Labs' feature available in GoToTraining for Windows Organizers, the fully supported live video sharing feature for GoToWebinar should be integrated with GoToTraining in 2019.

Alternatively, you may share Vimeo and Youtube videos with your GoToTraining attendees through specific Activities.

We need to play videos during GoToTraining sessions. I've been told that it's possible on GoToWebinar but then we can't do our tests and polls. Please add the ability to play videos on GoToTraining.

My presenter has a Mac. Her Keynote presentation includes video. The problem is attendees have no sound of this video

Hi Julie,
Those instructions were only for the Presenter, as audio streams to all Attendees the same way, through the GoTo integrations.

The Beta function 'Labs Video Sharing' feature is designed to stream a video through your webcams port, and is currently only available for Windows users: https://support.citrixonline.com/en_US/Training/all_files/G2T040022

Thank you for your reply. I can't have the participants all set their computers up like this though. Do you know anything about the "Labs" and share video features of GTT with audio playing?

Hi Alexei, we have a great connection here and internally it tests out really well.
If I play it on my device, using VLC, my colleague can watch it on their screen with no issues once connected to the session.
I'm just not sure how it would affect many users dialled in at one time so to speak.

I use 10 - 30 second videos none audio in my training webinars all of the time. Yes due to the way gotowebinar works they are slightly choppy but that is fine for may application direct in PowerPoint. If you go for videos you may find your customers may have issues even if you see them on a test PC. Its the speed of connection at the customers, particularly if there is a big sports event on when many staff in the company are online?

Go to webinar does offer a new upload and display video function which may work for you. It did for me but its too much work to upload all my clips to be of value

I would think that streaming video on top of a GoToTraining would be bandwidth intensive. good connection?

Hi everyone,
First post here, but thought what better way to get an answer than ask other users!

We run weekly webinars using GoTo Training, during which we would like to play a high quality video with sound. We did it a while ago using GoTo but found the picture & sound quality that was streamed very poor.
Do any of you know if that been improved, or if there is an app you can use whilst running a webinar to play videos to your session?
