Privacy/Security re health information accessed through GTMPC

I'm researching the possibility of having our front-line staff access an installed client database on a central server using 'www.gotomypc.com'. This database contains health information.
Are there security issues you are aware of that would be a barrier to this? Currently we are using an online-access version of this database...and it is costing us a fortune. There are other benefits that would come from changing this setup.

Documents look very good and encryption levels great. I'm in Canada, so I guess I had better contact the privacy folks here. One person has mentioned that the data should not cross the border, according to Cdn. privacy laws. Thanks for your help.
