I seem to have similar problem.
My ability to easily connect (for a number of years) to a host PC has gone!
Am running Windows 7
Have tried accessing with Firefox and Internet Explorer
The connection from client to host only works sporadically - otherwise times out - the issue is the client PC, don't know what though
I have checked connections - all ok at host/client
Can connect to host from other client PC's, using same network as problematic client PC, and also from other networks
Have set problematic client PC up as a host - works fine as a host
