Fast switching between host's monitors.

Is there a hotkey to switch between monitors of a multi-monitor host? Something like Ctrl + arrow-key would be a lot faster and more convenient than mouse-clicking the arrow at screen's edge. (I'm using a PC host and a Mac client.)

It's definitely more cumbersome, I'm sorry. In order for these shortcuts to work properly, it has to be a keyboard combination that we're confident that no other program (especially the Windows operating system on the viewer computer) uses. If we used a more common combination it would make it impossible for people to send that combination to the host computer (or might require toggling the pass system keys preferences).

We originally had it on simply windows key + arrow, but this combination started getting used by Windows operating systems to resize windows and it would only consistently work with XP. Ctrl+Windows Key+Arrow was working well until Windows 10 started using it so we added the extra key.

Customization of the hotkey would definitely be nice and I'll pass some feedback onto the team. I'm also on the lookout for a keyboard combination that is simple to do that isn't going to be used by Windows or a commonly used program. The current keyboard combination is long, but it's probably ugly enough to be safe from kidnappers.

Thanks! I'm glad I asked. It is much more of a pain to hold down all of these keys, by the way. I liked it the old way, especially given I have Windows 7 not Windows 10 and have no interference. No way to switch back? Why not allow customization of these hotkeys?

We were using Ctrl+Windows+Arrow just fine with version 8.3 Build 1611, but when Windows 10 came out, Windows repurposed Ctrl+Windows+Arrow so Windows "intercepts" that keyboard combination before GoToMyPC gets a chance to use it. Sorry! So we had to change the combination again so it would work consistently.

As of the most recent version of GoToMyPC (Version 8.4 Build 1704) the combination is now:

Ctrl+Alt+Windows Key+Arrow Key

Note: Some of you might have hotkeys with your graphics card that may accidentally rotate your display, so be sure and remap or disable it

One cool thing that we added with this update is that this short no longer requires you to disable the setting "Pass Windows keys to host computer" as it did with the last build.

Help -- The latest version of GoTo seems to no longer have CTRL+WINDOWS+ARROW as a hotkey to switch between monitors. What happened?

Please forgive the delay in my response. If you are on the latest version of GoToMyPC (version 8.3 buld 1611) you may switch between monitors with the following shortcut:

Ctrl + Windows Key + Arrow Key

This requires that the preference "Pass Windows keys to host computer" be unchecked in your GoToMyPC preferences. We will be revising this keyboard combination with the next release of GoToMyPC (Windows 10 is using this keyboard combination), but this combination will work if your client computer is not running Windows 10.

This was written 2 years ago, did you ever implement his feature? At home I have 2 monitors and at work I have 2 monitors so no big deal but on my laptop it would be a great feature to be able to quickly swap between my 2 monitors at work. As Jonathan said, ctrl+arrow or ctrl+shift+arrow etc... Should be really easy to code I would think so not sure why you wouldn't add a feature that makes your software better.
