Doing multiple file selects with GTMPC iPad app

Using the iPad app to remote control a Windows 7 desktop. Trying to do a multiple select of items in a list of files. Can select files one at a time with the "mouse" but tapping the app's Ctrl key and then tapping the "mouse" does not let me do multiple file selections. Is there a way to simulate the ctrl-left-mouse-click or shift-left-mouse-click?

I myself am suffering for not being able to use the "shift down to select function", which is a basic Windows function. The gestures don't work in my particular app, as the drag function does something else. What is strange is that when using gotomypc with my Samsung Galaxy tablet with a keyboard the shift key works as expected but with my ipad mini using the Logitech Ultrathin keyboard, the shift key down has no effect, except for typing, same as the virtual keyboard.

Disregard whether am using a keyboard or not, I think this functionality should be available with the virtual keyboard disregard of gestures, but I see this post is 3 years old and nothing has been done.

Thanks Glenn. The ability to make a multiple item selection with the touch, hold, and drag gesture seems to depend on the Windows application in use.

If the items are in a window that allows a "draw a box" type selection, the gesture works. Even in Windows Explorer with files in a list, if you carefully put the "mouse" cursor in just the right starting place, you can use the gesture to select multiple files.

However, other Windows applications don't let you make that type of selection. For example, I use Microsoft Expression Web to maintain a website. A window in this application shows files only as a list. No matter where you touch and hold, you've selected a file in the list and if you start to drag you are moving only the selected file.

So, that's why I was hoping the onscreen CTRL button or keyboard SHIFT button would combine with "mouse" clicks to do multiple selections.

Is there a specific application you are using that it is being difficult with?
