REMOTE PRINTER WILL NOT PRINT

I use Go to My PC at home to access my work computer. I have no problems printing regular documents that I create here at home, but I am unable to print anything from my host computer at work. I have followed the suggestions from the website regarding bi-directional printing, etc. but it still will not print to my home computer.

When you click the print button and choose the Go To My PC printer it shows in a status of "waiting". I have tried going into printer properties and it doesn't show anything pending or in the spool.

Can anyone help??

Hi Pat, can you try manually adding your printer to your GoToMyPC host's Preferences and see if this allows you to print again? This could potentially require you to download your printer model's drivers from the manufacturer's website. Also, can you check the spool folder itself to ensure that it is actually clear of all job files? This folder is located on your C drive under the path c:\windows\system32\spool\printersC:\windows\system32\printers\spool .

You may need to first stop the print spooler service in your services list before you can delete any files in that location.
