Does anyone know if there is a way to make the remote/guest mic work for the host computer?
In other words, I am logging onto my host computer (the one at home while I am away), and attempting to use my VOIP software on the host computer with my remote/guest mic (the one I am away with).
All sounds are working otherwise, but the VOIP is not picking up on the mic at the remote/guest log in.
In fact, the speakers are picking up the called party, the called party cannot hear me, they can hear themselves on the host computer. I cannot be heard on the phone via the VOIP software or at the same time through the host speakers like that called party can be. I can hear who I called just fine.
The called party is in the room with the host computer trying to help me see if this would work to use my VOIP from the remote location.
I tried adjusting the sound settings and have been trying different configurations to no avail, as much as it will allow.
I did notice that if I unmute the VOIP software app that it automatically unmutes the speakers of the host also instead of allowing individual muting and unmuting.
Anyone know what else I might try? Or if there is even a way to use the remote/guest mic in place of the host mic for software on the host?
