When I add a user in "shared access" for a Host PC, it is not added to the dropdown to change the "O

When I "grant access" to a Host PC for a user, that user is not available in the drop-down list to choose as an "Owner" of that Host PC. I do make sure I am saving the changes.

Now I am still having the [email protected] issue where I cannot see the names of the people that I am choosing to be the Host "Owner." I'm not talking about that problem. I am working around the email protected issue by randomly choosing something from the drop-down until I get the Host "Owner" that I want.

Unfortunately, when I grant access to the Host for a new person and then try to select that person to be the host "Owner", I know that person is not available in the drop-down since there is no additional item added to the drop-down.

In other words, it could say that there are 12 people with access to the Host PC, however, there are only 11 items in the drop-down to select and change the Host "Owner."

I have reloaded the webpage and have even waited for an hour to see if the name would populate the list but still nothing.

Hello Brian,

The user's name is Christina Rafferty. Her email is Christina.rafferty@emcare.com. That name/ email account is being used as the "Owner" on a number of Host computers and I have not heard any problems from Christina about not being able to remote into these Hosts with GoToMyPC. I just can't make her the "Owner" on some other Hosts that currently do not have her as the Owner.

She did get married and now is Christina Wise. Her new email is Christina.Wise@emcare.com. I thought that she could get emails from both email addresses but I could be wrong since I've just noticed that her maiden name "Christina Rafferty" is no longer in our corporate Outlook address book. I did send a test email to "Christina.rafferty@emcare.com" but it did not bounce back yet so it might still be a good email address.

Hi Linda,

It could have something to do with their account status. What is the user's name or email? I can check the account status in our admin. I have also made this conversation private to keep any account details that you share with me secure.

Ok, I understand what you are saying. Still, I cannot find the user that I just added to the Host. I did notice that there was no email listed beside the name when I granted that person access to the Host PC. Could that be the problem?

Thanks for posting in the community again!

My apologies for the delayed reply, as I was researching this issue for you. I setup a shared computer and attempted changing Owners, just like you. What I've found is that the Manage PC page will show the total number of users next to "Shared Access" (in your case 12), but the "Change Host PC Owner" drop down menu does not include the original owner of that computer. Since the original owner is excluded, we would expect to have 11 other users to choose from for changing the owner.
