Is there a way to get GoToMyPC to run on system startup?

I have a Mac OS 10.9.3 system at work that I connect to using GoToMyPC.

With Snow Leopard, it used to be that as long as the system was running I could connect to it.

But now with this new Mavericks system something has changed and GoToMyPC doesn't launch until I log in.

So in effect, I'm locked out if the machine is restarted because GoToMyPC won't run until I log in and I can't log in because GoToMyPC isn't running.

Is there a way to configure it so that GoToMyPC starts up on system boot, regardless of user login?

I have the same problem and I was advised to use ConnectWise. The problem is the cost of that is out of my pocketbook.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing.

To clarify...

Let's say the Mac I need to connect to gets restarted for some reason, like if there's a power outage.

At that point, the Mac will boot back up, but no user will be logged in.

If I then try to connect to that Mac remotely using GoToMyPC, it will be listed as "offline" and I won't be able to connect. (See the attached screenshot.)

Hi Jarrod,

I apologize for not getting back to you yet but we are still looking into this issue. I was able to recreate the issue myself by rebooting a Mac, although if I simply leave it locked I am able to connect and unlock it.

I did open a support ticket for you #07304093 while we investigate.

For now I would recommend clicking on your username on the right top corner of Finder menu bar and choose Login Window, this will simply take you to the login window where you need to give passwords to login back. You should then be able to connect to your Mac Host and unlock it via GoToMyPC.

Hi. I posted the question below and almost a week has gone by and I haven't received any help.

I did get one response from an employee, but zero follow up after that.

I tried to find support or contact info on the website, but every path leads to "type in your question and we'll do a search for you."

Is there a number I can call or some other means of getting an actual person to help me resolve this issue?

Can you clarify, specifically, what you mean by "The GoToMyPC service runs in a system folder?"

What files should be in which dir?

Or can I reinstall it in some way that will allow it to run on startup?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's connected to the office LAN via an Ethernet cable.

Hi Jarrod,

I'm looking into this issue, is the Mac host in question connecting to the network via a Lan cable or WiFi? The GoToMyPC service runs in a system folder, so it shouldn't be dependent on the user logging in.

If possible I'd like to gather some log files that GoToMyPC creates from your Mac. Can I will Email you instructions on how to gather them?
