Host Computer Turns Off

Since about three weeks ago when my windows decided to update in the middle of the night, Gotomypc gets completely closed out each time my computer restarts. I have to manually search for the app, open it up and click test connection each time my computer restarts for the Gotomypc app to work. Is there a fix for this? I work from home a lot and if my computer keeps restarting in the middle of the night for an update, I'd have to still come to the office in the morning just to turn on the app to go home and work. It NEVER did this before. Help!

hi everyone i am using log me in and it was working excellent with me from home. but couple of days before i dont know what happen my host pc is showing off on log me in application and when i check the web panel it also shows me RED but when i manage to go office and open my server in office and open the app it takes 5 seconds to refresh then services are up working looks like log me in have some option for sleep i believe.

kindly help me out from this case and the problem is coming from last 3 days. before it was excellent.

there is no policy or any update or implementation done in server.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing! There are a couple layers to figuring out a permanent solution. I would recommend doing these steps while you or someone you're speaking with are physically at the host computer in order to avoid going back & forth again if the first thing doesn't resolve the issue.

First, in your system tray by the date/time, right-click on the MYPC icon and click Preferences. In that first Host section that comes up, the very first section is to 'Start GoToMyPC' and should have a check box in Automatically. If it's not there, put it in and click OK. If it's already there, take it out, click OK, then go back in and re-select it and hit OK again. After this is done, shut down and restart your machine to make sure it app starts back up with that tray icon. If it does, you should be good to go. If it does not, we need to go to the next step.

Note: If the tray icon is not there at all when you first arrive, you can start it by finding GoToMyPC in your Programs listing to turn it on.

Next if all that does not work, you will probably want to uninstall & reinstall GoToMyPC. It could be that the Windows update changed or corrupted something within the program that's stopping it from acting normally. Once all that is done, I would once again recommend rebooting while you are still there to make sure everything is working as intended.
