How to get rid of Lastpass and bitdefender ads?

Title says it all. Even the "dont ask again" box on the new BT AV ad only applies per computer, so I still have to click it 3-4 times per day. This doesn't seem like any way to treat a customer, forcing them to continually deal with ads for your other service. I can tell you one thing, Logmein, Inc - because you force me to deal with these ads, I will CERTAINLY not be using LastPass or Bitdefender AV. Was that your goal? To make me hate those services? If so, job well done.

I was basically told "Oh well, too bad". I think they're getting this vendor/customer thing mixed up as to who is who. LOL.

@AshC still no movement on removing the spam, and you seem to have lost interest in customer service on this issue. What say you?

Yes absolutely PATHETIC. We are paying for a remote desktop product. We already did our job and held up our end of the bargain. This is not what we should be paying for.

This is confusing our users.

Just checking back in. I still receive the message. Now, maybe I have not hit "do not pester me again" in a while (since it did nothing to do so), so I just did hit that anti-pester button. I will check on the next computer that I use to connect. I am not optimistic.

Edit: nope, solution not done. It amazes me that a rep of the company would bother posting that it was solved when it clearly isn't.

I don't have a corporate account, just a normal "consumer" level one. Maybe that's your confusion. But this is PATHETIC.

[UPDATE] The LogMeIn antivirus advertisement is disabled for all corporate end users, and is only seen by Administrators when they log in through gotomypc.com.

The ad will disappear when GoToMyPC subscribers click 'Do not show again' --- unless the end user clears their cache in between connections.

Do you know what, I’ve got a better way for you guys to make money than spamming you’re paying clients. You should write a book called “how to piss off you’re paying clients for no benefit to yourself“. I’d buy that book, because you guys are pros.

It's pretty crappy the way you try to push your antivirus on us. I get it, some muppets get bonuses based on the number of your antivirus installs, so they use shady tactics to get as many as possible.

But here's the thing, NOBODY likes that. It's like the Java updater installing Ask browser toolbar unless you notice and uncheck the checkbox. It's like Microsoft installing Teams on every Windows PC!

Tell us about your new product or service, but don't force it on us! Don't push it on us! Don't nag us about it!

It isn't enough to make me cancel the account, but it does put you in the running for worst company, right next to Comcast. If you guys use NPS scoring, mark me down as giving you a 1.

We are working on a way for Admins to disable these ads completely. Hopefully just a few days away. I'll update everybody as soon as I hear more.

Add me to the list of upset IT admins. I don't see these popups myself, but my end users do and each inquiry is a ticket. "Your host computer is safe" I have to say to each one asking me so they could be reassured. "Are you sure?" some ask. "Yes, it's just an ad from LogMeIn" I try again to reassure. The one boss-woman retorted, "But don't we pay for GoToMyPC?" Anyone at LogMeIn reading any of this?

Ha! No. I am using normal browsers on dozens of computers as I move around the DC area throughout my work day, FIXING COMPUTERS. I am an IT professional.

Your ANNOYING come-on for a product I DONT WANT comes up every time I log in on a new computer where I haven't before told it I DONT WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN.

God you guys are terrible. I am working hard to find a product I can use to replace gotomypc functionality. I hope your effort to get me to use your stupid AV and password managers are worth losing someone paying $400+ per year.

During some testing we were only able to make the request repopulate if using a private browsing experience. So in your case you may have a security plugin / browser app that is mimicking this behavior?

Man I hope so - I complained bitterly about the LastPass junk for weeks before giving up when it became clear that no one cared if I was happy or unhappy. I'll believe it when I see it happen.

@cameronjpu I apologize for the annoyance, and believe we should be able to disable that messaging soon. ETA currently is about 3 weeks for this switch to finalize.
