Could you please let me know when live closed captions will be added to Webcasts? Thank you!
Well that is disappointing, and this is the second issue that we've dealt with that has no timeline for a fix. The other one is a light mode option on the New GoTo interface, which has been outstanding for 10 months. Both of these are accessibility issues. It's unfortunate that GoTo does not seem to put the same priority on accessibility for end users as other companies.
@GTWandGTSUser
Thanks for your patience here.
It appears that Closed Captions was rolled back for some accounts with larger webcasts due to some performance issues. While it's anticipated to return, I do not have a timeline for the fix at this time.
I will update the Community when we learn more. Thanks for your report.
Thank you for sharing these details. I see that your issue has already been escalated internally, and I am following up with the appropriate team to get an update for you.
I understand how important this is, especially given the impact on your webcast attendees. Thank you for your continued patience.
@KateG - this is not true. I ran a webcast yesterday, and there was no closed captioning. See below screenshot from an attendee yesterday.
I worked for weeks to troubleshoot this with Level 2 support, but they did not fix it in time for our webcast with 2,000 people, and still have not resolved this.
