Hi there:
Any thoughts from the community or from LMI forum admins regarding adding video chat capabilities to the rescue offering?

Instead VideoChat, I prefer Voice. In fact, when I give Remote Support, most of the times, my client calls me by phone and this is not a very elegant solution even it cost him or myself the phone call
I would definitely vote yes to VOIP support. My company uses LogMeIn Rescue to provide support for handheld devices. Since most of our customers don't have simultaneous voice and data, it is very difficult to coordinate efficiently with them. It's definitely an issue when the customer does not have a personal cell to use while we troubleshoot their issue. It would be fantastic if they had a "phone number" through LogMeIn rescue that we could simply dial from the remote console to connect. Too often we struggle with customers who can't even find the application to launch, even with specific instructions. The ability to send a request to connect would be extremely valuable to my company and I.
If the rescue team does read this boards...
What are you waiting to fix the console problems introduced with the latest version?
What are you doing about the logmeinrescue_service crashing and remote connections lost when unattened access is enabled?
I have an idea, let's fix the current problems before you add more features.
LogMein Rescue is not what it used to be.
I'll second this one. I did ask about VOIP on this forum a while ago but didn't get much feedback . VOIP would be a fantastic addition with video taking it to the next level.
Video Chat would be a great addition to logmein.
However I have played online games with this software remotely and the display lags pretty significantly.
The screen would have to be pretty small to make the refresh rate palatable for users.
I have very positive Feedback when using WebEx with a Camera showing me. So it could be great to have a small Video shown in the rescue applet of the customer showing my face as I talk to the customer over the phone. Most of my users know me but all are happy to see me live.
Best Regards

Video Chat would be great, we have a lot of clients using our service that don't even know who we are. It would be nice to show that is not a bot answering his questions hehe
But what i REALLY need is a VOIP integrated with rescue. That would be awesome.
Neat discussion! Thanks for bringing this up, Nyquil.
Rescue users- now is your chance.. YES, the Rescue Team does read these boards. What would be some of the advantages for you (the technician)? And your end-users?
