We have a mac system on which the Logmein Rescue applet keeps running everytime it starts. I've checked login items and a few other places and cannot find it. The session is long gone so it does not reconnect.
Had the exact same problem today with a client. We installed unattended access on two imacs and had issues getting back into them after the initial test. It appears if you have an active logmein session and it cakes the bed for whatever reason and you try and reistabliled a new connection you're going to end up having a bad day. Something to know.
Thanks. After much searching and wasted time, this solution solved this issue. It seems this is a problem as the only thing I found in this /var/tmp folder were about 2 dozen old logmein session infos... Come on Logmein, do a better job cleaning up after yourself...
I cannot find the /var/tmp folder anywhere on my Mac. Nor can I find anywhere in the LMI window where it tells me where it's running from. Please provide more thorough information.
Go to the folder mentioned above, and delete any lmi folder you find.
Can you clarify how to kill the applet stuck running on startup on Mac OSX?
I am having the same issue. Appears to be related to session initated on my computer that expired. Yet, everytime I restart, the application launches and attempts to reestablish connection.
it should be under /var/tmp
Otherwise, when it runs, the console will tell you where the file is running from
