Cursor not working, screen not right

I have been trying to logiin to my father-in-law's compujter for 2 days. He is 91 and getting very upset with the problem he's having. When I log in, I can only see the top part of his screen, my cursor is really big and doesn't work. I've tried changing resolutions. I can't ever see his whold screen. But my cursor not working is a problem, and customer support is closed. I have no idea what is wrong. Any suggestions?

If you can walk him through changing the Display Scale back to 100%, you will be able to control properly once more. You can then set it back immediately afterwards. Since the screen you are viewing and the actual screen do not match, this will cause the Mouse to "Not Work", as it is actually clicking somewhere other than where you want.
