I have asked this question many times and have even emailed the developers. I get no response from them and it has been three weeks.
My problem is this I am a consultant provide support for about 50 companies. I have purchased the IT rescue so I WOULD NOT have to manually install Logmein Free, Pro, or Reach on all my desktops. I like the option of them initiating the call via calling card instead of always blowing up my phone, and so I can move to issues faster.
Considering I am their network administrator and the only one that knows the credentials to logon to their computer with administrator rights, I am having to STILL install logmein free to install software. Because I continually have to ask them for permission to access their computer, this in my opinion is silly. I should not have to deploy two products on my customers computer to acheive one goal.
On their calling card I should be able to have them click a check to allow full control, and it should stay intact after a reboot.
Or if I know their administrator username and password. I should be able to type that in to override them. These users dont even have permission to install a printer without my permission. So I am having to use two products and starting to question why I even got this, I could do everything I needed from logmein free.
Last On the IT Reach product that I only deploy on my servers, I have the ability to look at the registry, stop and start services from the dashboard. Why dont I have that ability from IT Rescue, or once again am I needing IT Reach and rescue to acheive this goal.
With the inability to have a helpdesk so customers can email your
support@companyname.com and create a ticket. And having to deploy all of these products that one should be able to acheive I am considering going back to logmein free and do away with the whole rescue.
Customers can easly email me through my third party helpdesk software and I can use the free product to remote them, or even use IT Reach at a fraction of the cost. Better yet maybe look at nable.com or some other managed services solution.
