I had the understanding that Hamachi was a server that created your virtual network, and then you could contact it from elsewhere. You installed Hamachi on your "want to contact" computer, created the virtual network, and then you used LogMeIn to reach through the VPN to your Hamachi server.
Well either I misunderstood the model (and I can't figure it out from any of the docs I can find) or I set something up wrong. Help?
- I installed Hamachi on my home PC.
- I created a new network. (I don't need fancy features and planned to use client-only mode, but it seems to insist on creating a LogMeIn account and creating a network in Hamachi.)
- The new network is active and has a 25.x.x.x IP.
- I installed LogMeIn on my iPad. It also insists on logging into a LogMeIn account.
- So now both devices are logged into the same account -- but LogMeIn on the iPad says "There are no computers in your account."
- It says all you have to do is install the software on your PC. Well I already have. Or at least I installed Hamachi. Is that the wrong thing? Should I install LogMeIn on my PC?
Thanks for any clarifications and/or pointers to clearer instructions...
