I have a windows 8 laptop that I want to use LogMeIn with. I would like to have the laptop closed. However when I close the laptop the guy connecting to it doesn't get anymore mouse events and it becomes unusable. So basically the laptop has to be open for logmein to work. Is there a work around for this so I can have the lid closed and logmein still work?
Thanks,
Susan G. Conger
I had this issue with Windows 10 recently and to my surprise it was just resolved by a level 1 tech from logmein.
The fix:
Click on the main menu (looks like a picture of a home) in your list of computers.
enter username and password
click on preference
click on general
uncheck Use display accelerator
scroll to the bottom and hit apply
close out of logmein
open logmein and log in to the computer in question
done - you should be able to use the computer without issues
I also have this issue. Windows 8.1 on a lenovo t430s, when you close the lid the the screen refreshing in logmein remote sessions becomes very intermittent, like once every 15 seconds. Basically unusable. Anyone find a fix? I assume its to do with some powersaving feature or something...
Hello, has this issue been resolved or is there a work around?

Hi - any update on this bug? I too lose connection when the lid is closed even though all my settings are correct.
Seems like a Windows issue, as it happens on splashtop too
Actually, changing the power settings will not help. I have an exactly the same issue -closing the lid, would interrupt remote session.
The only workaround is to click on a "Dashboard" and then click back to RemoteCcontrol.
Go into control panel/power settings
Change the "Lid Close Action" from whatever it's set to right now (usually sleep) to "do nothing"
If you have windows 7 you can find this setting simply by typing "lid close" into the box on the start menu.
