Vista connection problem

I can view but not sessions with Vista computers. What does it mean to "restart customer applet as a Windows system service?"

My client and I do not have administrative credentials on their desktop, only the client's IT group does. How do we instruct the client's IT to install this applet as a system service?

Vista's UAC component prevents the applet from interacting with the desktop unless it's running as a system service.

To do so, click the button that says "Restart as a System Service" instead of just going into Remote Viewing.

Depending on the machine you are connecting to, you may need to provide administrative credentials to do so.

Edgewood's post is in teh wrong forum so I won't say much other than there's absolutely no difference in connectivity between Free and Pro.

Vista has alot of extra security settings basically in Vista you can't just jump into the remote control portion you must get elevated permissions for the logmein rescue service, restarting the the applet as a service will do this once the user has given permission, then you will have sufficent rights to take remote control of the computer.

I also have a Vista connection problem with Logmein Pro... The logmein free program worked fine, but the Pro will not stay connected more than a few seconds and disconnects.

If you have success please let me know!

This Vista sure has some bugs!
