Join Limit prevents to Join a "Webinar in Progress"

Question

We set a Join Limit for our Webinars because attendees started to share their Join links with others.

What we just learned is:

* an attendee forgot to register and is doing that while the Webinar is already running
* this attendee is registering using his Mobile device, gets confirmation

"You are registered" BUT the "Join webinar in progress" button is greyed out.

Why?

This attendee is not connected with another device to the Webinar,

so the join limit should allow to join the Webinar in progress

What is the reason for this behaviour? I do not get the logic behind.

Is it the same, if the attendee would do the same steps on a Notebook?

You are correct and I apologize for the confusion. I've updated my post.

Join limit should not affect registration or joining, but let's take a look at what is happening.

To clarify, the issue you are having is that join limit is restricting access to the webinar when someone forgot to register and registered while the webinar was in place, but when they attempted to register via mobile device the confirmation showed 'join this webinar' was greyed out.

Did this just occur for the one individual? Did they try using a different registration link initially?

The Session ID and email would be needed to take a closer look. You can message me that information by clicking on my user name and you will see a window with the option to Message.

and, by the way: our API calls, to do the automatic registration of people, occasionally(!) fail, when Join Limts are set. Not for all, that is the ridiculous thing
