It would be helpful to allow users to send contact cards directly through SMS, either from the end user’s mobile device or from within the application using the app’s messaging functionality.
This would allow users to share contact information without having to use their personal phone number or personal messaging application. Ideally, the contact card could be sent as a standard vCard (.vcf) so the recipient can easily add the contact to their phone.
Suggested functionality:
- Send contact cards directly from within the app via SMS.
- Allow users to select an existing contact or contact record to share.
- Send the information as a vCard/contact card rather than plain text.
- Use the application/business SMS number instead of the employee’s personal phone number.
- Allow mobile users to initiate the contact-card message directly from the app.
