Hi GoTo team and community,
We have multiple business DIDs that route to the same ring group (or shared line) on Yealink T57W phones. We want a different ringtone depending on which number the customer calls, so staff instantly know which line is ringing.
We’ve already:
- Configured distinctive ringing on the T57W phones
- Used Modify Caller ID to prepend text for visual help
- Set up shared lines (which gives per-line ringtones but isn’t ideal for every scenario)
The gap: There is no option in the admin portal to send a custom Alert-Info header (e.g. info=Caller ID) based on the inbound DID, dial plan, or ring group.
This capability is a standard feature on most other PBXs and would make GoTo much more flexible for multi-DID setups with Yealink hardware.
The only way I have found a workaround is to use a shared line.
The problem with this is I have to set it up per phone/user, and it is limited to 8 users.
Has anyone found a better workaround? Is this on the product roadmap?
